THE OPPORTUNITY

We are actively seeking a highly personable and technically astute Senior Analyst Programmer. The ideal person for this role will have experience providing software and system support within NATO, the MoD, Civil Service, the wider armed forces or a defence organisation. You will be responsible for various tasks related to technical support. This work is located in Glons, Belgium and will suit those either already living there or willing to work within that location unencumbered. Sound like a great fit?

THE ROLE

Your daily role responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing and testing of software components for the SSSB Software products family.
• Analysing all new requirements for improvements and changes and their impact on the overall performance and integrity of the assigned systems focusing in the definition of projects.
• Investigating and resolving software and interoperability problems.
• Implementing adaptation data changes.
• Performing training both in-house and on site for operators and administrators of SSSB systems.
• Supporting the provision of a technical advice to the Nations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Passionate about this opportunity? Here are the basic qualifications we are looking for:

• You possess a degree in Computer Sciences or in a technical subject with substantial computer sciences content with work experience in the related field.
• Software Analyst Programmer experience for real-time computer systems.
• Knowledge of state of the art operating systems, network architectures and administration principles.
• Knowledge of networking and digital communication (LAN / WAN) standards and techniques.
• Knowledge of the programming language "Java" and of the programming languages of "C".
• Extensive knowledge of UNIX scripting languages.
• Experience in the design, development and maintenance of NATO Air Defence (AD) systems; military data links operations/technical/procedures (eg. Link 1, Link 11, Link 11B, Link 16,JReaP and Link 22).
• Experience in design, development and maintenance of Communication Control Systems.
• Experience in design, development and maintenance of Voice Communication Systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret Security Clearance.
